Service & Support Management
Experience includes
the integration of IT and network services, systems management and support
strategies, change management. Facilities management, market testing, outsourcing
contracts negotiation, public sector procurement and the UK Public Private
Partnership and Private Finance Initiative. Cost benefit analysis, investment
appraisals and business cases.
Projects include:
- Production
of a Service Level Agreement (SLA) and then management of the agreement
for the provision of application services, development services, operational
and infrastructure services between two public sector organisations
- Specification
and procurement of IT infrastructure services to manage PCs, data networks,
servers, firewalls and related applications for a local authority.
- Project management
of an outsourcing project for an international bank, covering computer and
office systems and communications networks, and including feasibility and
business case, SSR preparation, tender evaluation and supplier negotiation.
- Support for
the market testing of the IT department of a major UK government department,
including the preparation of Service Requirements and Architectures for
the Draft Contract covering the communications and desktop (office systems)
domains. Assisted at supplier negotiations.
- Desktop support
services study. Included consideration of help desk and office system staff
numbers, roles and structure, amounting to an in-house bid to mirror a outsourcing
market test in preparation for Private Finance Initiative requirements.
- Multiple managed
data network service feasibility studies, specifications, procurements and
technical assurance roles.
