Office Systems & Messaging

Systems feasibility, design and procurement covering office system strategies, workgroup and collaboration systems and servers. Also includes office applications, e-commerce and electronic trading, electronic messaging and directory services, email and the Internet.

Projects include:

• Specification and project management of the implementation of a document management system for a local authority
• Specification and procurement support for office systems and network infrastructure services for 1,800 staff, including service levels and service credits for performance related payment, tender evaluation model and acceptance tests.
• Project management of the implementation of two regional electronic messaging pilots, as part of a national network supporting information flows between various criminal justice organisations to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of business processes
• Project management of the team responsible for the technical architecture and implementation support of another national network developed to provide EDI and electronic mail between health service organisations
• Production of an electronic messaging strategy to provide mail and mail enabled applications to approximately 25,000 users throughout a government department. An important element was the integration of the different services through appropriate messaging gateways and the provision of a directory service
